Gregory
Blann was born in Staten Island, New York, in 1952 and grew up in France and
the United States. He has resided in Nashville, Tennessee, for most of the
last forty years. He studied art at George Peabody College and Vanderbilt
University, as well as U. T. Nashville and Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. He studied
the Venetian technique of oil painting with Gus Baker and acrylics with
Bunn Gray. In addition to his work and occasional shows in the field of
fine arts, Gregory has been employed in the graphic arts and printing
industry for over twenty years (winning awards in digital scanning). In
recent years he has worked in the desktop computer field, doing Photoshop
retouch and color corrections on magazines such as Marie Claire, Town &
Country, National Geographic, Esquire, Good Housekeeping and Classic
American Homes. He has recently moved into the arena of web development
and has received his Master certification in Web Design, i-Net and
E-Commerce. The artist welcomes inquiries and commissions of the kinds
represented on this web site. All purchases must be made by
C.O.D., certified check or money order.
